Oh, the Onion's got some real gems this week:
Headphones-Wearing Pedestrian Loudly Proclaims Iron Man Status
MINNEAPOLIS— Local resident James Gaines loudly proclaimed his Iron Man status Monday while walking down Hennepin Avenue wearing a Sony Discman. "I am Iron Man," Gaines announced in a deep, foreboding voice before launching into his dark, personal tale of madness and revenge. Gaines has previously declared himself "hot for teacher," "a teenage lobotomy," and "a street-walking cheetah with a heart full of napalm."
Mad Lib Filled With Swears
PORTLAND, ME— The popular party amusement Mad Libs was misued for profane purposes Monday, when Peter Leff, a Portland-area 12-year-old, filled the blank spaces on a "Space Adventure Mad Lib" entirely with swear words. "Prepare to shit the enemy," Leff had Space Commander Mr. Garrick say. "Set all p*ssys on fart and brace for bl*wjobs."

Hey- please check out my link to the Breast Cancer Three-Day (to the right, there)... a super important cause. I'd love for you to sponsor me!
National Novel Writing Month ends today.
To quote the great Hall and Oates, So close, yet so far away.
I got pretty far- there is still a chance I could finish... IF I CAN CHURN OUT 9,000 words today. Prob not. Well, it was a good run. Thanksgiving really stopped things.

What is WRONG with people?!?
Honestly, I have never heard one good thing about a Beta.
Don't get me wrong, some of my best friends are frat boys. (Read: tongue in cheek joke in reference to article.) I will not make one huge slanderous comment against them... but the group mentality can be ridiculous.

Hey, everyone!
Sorry I haven't been updating very much... it seems to really be true that being unemployed really is a full time job, what with all the guitar lessons, home journeys, novel writing, fundraising for The Breast Cancer Three-Day... oh, and also, trying to get a job. I'll really try to update more frequently - I got a few complaints lately. Yeesh.
So, let me start by updating my last entry by putting my wishlists up here for the fam. Here they are:
A. GAP stuff
B. The Old Navy Giftcard
C. Sports Illustrated for Women subscription
D. Guitar Lessons from the Old Town School of Folk Music (reimburse me)
E. A trip to the dentist (Seriously, that sounds crazy, but you should see the chompers.)
I feel very lucky that I even have you guys to spend the holidays with. Thanks for getting me junk, too - it is just a perk.
