I was just thinkin' about my boyz, Multiple Partners. For some reason, something just really made me miss those guys. For all of you who don't know, that was my first improv group here in Chicago, the ones I graduated Second City with. Now, we are all doing different things all over the place- Nate is in WI doing stand-up, Jon and Robyn are out in LA doing the acting thing... aah, thinking about the good ol' days of baby comedy just make me want to cry. If you'd like to see a pic of those kids, click here- this is the night of our graduation.

Islam 101
Is it sad or quirky that we get all important info from Oprah? Today she had many high-ranked Muslims on to explain more moderate feelings about America and the attack.
Some Intelligence Agent said today that there is a "100% chance" of another terrorist attack on the US. A., Who is this agent?, and B., Good lord.
A little lesson.
So, I went down to my local unemployment office today. Wow. That was somethin'. It wasn't really as bad as I thought it might be- I prepared for the worst. But, it was a lot of unhappy, unpaid people- some who looked like they had just stepped out of the office, and some who looked like they just stepped out of a shelter. It made me appreciate that I had a little money saved, and that I am generally okay. I have a nice little place, food, a computer, and even cable! Things aren't so bad. Plus, it made me think- well, maybe everyone needs a little gut-check so they can see what they really want to do. Or, who they really want to be. Sometimes jobs get in the way of that.
My pal Howie just got laid off, but she is getting a pretty swanky deal. She is now hoping to move to Australia (she is currently in London). Maybe that's what I should do- travel while I have the time (but, no money). Man, these lay-offs - this is happening all over.

Hey, I just remembered last night: The Cleaning Ladies have a show tonight! It is at the Playground, at 8pm. I believe admission is $5-$8. I think I may have some two for one-ers, or some thing for $5 passes. Let me know if you want in. I'd love to see you there! It is a half hour show. We are on second.

Job search is slow and painful. I am seriously going to collect unemployment, I think. Yesterday, I was getting kind of down about no job, but today, much better. I went downtown and rode the el, people watched, and shopped a little. Anyone got an idea for a career like that?
My old boss Michael is bugging the HELL out of me. He keeps calling me to see if I want to be an agent at his other leasing place. Um, no. Here's why: He doesn't pay a base commission, he doesn't give health insurance, and he never noticed me until he needed something. Bye, now.
I just got this e-mail from my pal, Tara Muenz. It's all about growing up as an Ohioian. Here's a noteable portion:
Know the state casserole. The state casserole consists of canned
green beans, Campbell's cream of mushroom soup and dried onions. You can
safely take this casserole to any social event and know that you will be accepted.
You know, I never realized I have never had that outside Ohio. ;)
Had an interview Monday. It went well, but it was at a placement agency. I guess that's okay- but, they are very attentive to you when you are there, and then after... not so much. Anyone know any deetz about unemployment? :)

I have been working for the past two hours on how to put a little thumbnail image in these posts. I think it doesn't work b/c I use geocities for my main index. Does anyone have any ideas on that / what I can do to make it work?!
Thanks to my fam - my Mom, sis-in-law MJ, and niece Sophia for coming in this weekend! I had a blast. It was great to finally have you up, and I hope it enticed you to come TONS! I am posting pics of this weekend on the my site later today (including the RIDICULO one of us at American Girl Place- where the adults are so psyched, and the 2&1/2 year old is SNOOZING. I was worried that my Women's Studies background may have a strong effect on my outlook on this place- but, c'mon! Look how urban-kicky Lindsay is! She has a freakin' laptop, action sack, and a scooter! Dope!).
ONE HUGE SHOUT OUT- to one Ms. Amy Crawf, who was awarded the Tony Patino fellowship from the University of Chicago on Saturday! The scholarship is merit based and it is a good chunk of change towards her tuition and living costs. AWESOME! Drop her an e- or leave her a comment to tell her what a smarty-pants she is.
