I haven't posted much today because I am getting ready to go home to Columbus. Typically, I take the ol' X Terra home, but this time Amy is taking her Toyota (aka Li'l Red) to exchange with her grandfather's old car- it has less miles, and she will be driving a lot when she starts law school in the next few weeks. So, we are riding together, and I have been trying to find a cheap car to rent over the holiday. Good luck renting on Labor Day- a., it is a rip-off, and b., everyone only wants you to drop off the car at the airport. What kind of deal is that? What about the ol' drop box, youknowwhati'msayin'? But, I am all about peops getting their day off.

Today is the Mick Napier (The Annoyance link, here)workshop, fourth week. I think I talked about it some back a few weeks ago, but it has been really good to learn about communication between the actor and the director. This stuff he teaches- it is generally like, business common sense... but he brings such a great sort of experience to it that it seems to be so brilliant. You know how you don't really notice customer service until you've had BAD customer service? He tell s the directors how to avoid bad directing. He points out what is bad, how to avoid it, how to keep your dignity/innovation (actor) and your power and insight (director). It has really made me consider trying out the flip side (directing).
I am having a big ol' parte' with Amy at a local bar here called Frank's, the second week in Sept. Please contact me if you'd like to come and I don't have your e-mail. It is going to be way fun. It (sadly) coincides with Notre Dame / Nebraska game, but we called the place and they have many t.v.s. It is a drink-for-free extravaganza!

Hey, you know what I've been thinking? You guys should be checking out my items at e-bay, if you want to spend some cash. I really just don't have much to say today, so I guess that is what I am posting. Amy and I have been doing some major closet clean-up, so that we can get some more bucks for law school and general livin'.
There are going to be some serious Madonna pics up soon. They probably aren't too good, but hey- were you there? I don't think so.

Have I mentioned this? I am thinking of getting into stand up. Thinking about it all, I just don't want to be disappointed if I don't "make-it" here in Chicago- such a small percentage do. Stand up, however, allows you to shine individually, thus also causing significant personal pain if you fail. That being said, I still might give it a go. I tried it once- went really well, but I just feel like it is so phony. Plus, let's not forget about the scary scene in this movie. Scary.
So, tonight's the night. Who's that girl? Madonna. Where's the party? The United Center. My goal? For her to Justify my love. For her to make me a True Blue fan. Alright, enough. I just think it is important to Express Yourself.

Currently, my group the Cleaning Ladies is trying to get a spot at the Cagematch - it is an ImprovOlympic throwdown between two teams, one team wins. I guess you could say that it is slightly similar to the competition at Comedy Sportz, that kind of idea. I'll let you know if we get a spot!
